On Friday, March 31st, the Lower School Honors Chorus 
competed in Carowinds Festival of Music.  They earned the 
rating of EXCELLENT. Congratulations to Mrs. Ward-Washington
and the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade performers on this honor!

Congratulations to Kaaviya Raghuraman (6th grade), Caroline Yanni (4th grade), and Ana Kisley (8th grade), the last three spellers standing after this week's spelling bee for Grades 3-8. 
 
Thanks to Loree McCurry for running the spelling bee (for the last 10 years), Ms. Sims for being the official word announcer, and to Susan Bukowski and Kelly Chappell who recorded the words the students spelled.


Good luck to all three young ladies in the regional competition, and congratulations to all who qualified!

Pine Lake Preparatory is pleased to announce that we are among the best of the best schools statewide to receive an A+ from the State Board of Education! This distinction is a result of extraordinary academic achievement in all areas.  Highlights from this year's results include a 93% proficiency in science, 92% proficiency on the ACT, math course rigor above 95% and an astounding 98% growth score in math.  Pine Lake is one of three CHARTER schools in our geographic area to earn an A+ rating.

Pine Lake has announced a Fun Run on


Wednesday, 10/26.  

Students have the opportunity to run 30 laps around a small 
track set up specifically for this event.  

Donations proceed the Annual Fund.  Checks or Donations via
the Pine Lake Preparatory Website.  The permission slip to 
ride the bus can be downloaded here
