Two Hour Delay Wednesday, Jan. 23

Two Hour Delay Wed., Jan. 23

Pine Lake Preparatory will be operating on a 2 hour delay tomorrow, Wednesday, January 23rd.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Iredell County, forecasting a high chance for freezing rain throughout the early morning hours.  Based on the current forecast it is, and will continue to be difficult to predict the temperatures and precipitation levels through 7:00 am tomorrow morning.  For that reason, we made the decision at this time and in order to give families the ability to make alternate arrangements.

While it is unanticipated, you will hear from us by 7:00 am if additional adjustments are necessary.

All drop off and start times will be shifted exactly two hours back while dismissal times will be unaffected.

School Start Times:

Upper School – 9:10 am

Lower School – 9:45 am

Middle School – 9:55 am

Please note, bus routes will be on a delay so you can expect to catch each at the traditional location exactly two hours later tomorrow morning.

All Middle and Upper School students will be on a modified schedule in which they see each teacher and lunches will be served as normal.

I’d like to also point out that a two hour delay will not negatively impact the number of remaining inclement weather days.  As previously communicated, we have 2.5 days left at this point.

Thank you,

Andrew Moceri
