The Putt for Pride Golf Tournament, the Ladies Luncheon and Online Auction, brought in nearly $50k for outfitting the STEM Building Lower School Lab!
- 144 Golfers - our largest event to date, at a 25% increase in participation from last year. In fact, we had more golfers than The Peninsula Club had carts, so special thanks to Daniel Schubert and Lorri Hoffman for securing extra carts at the last minute! Thanks, also, to the McCarthy family, owner of three CRISP Foods locations in Charlotte, for providing a delicious boxed lunch for the golfers.
- 160 attendees at the Ladies' Luncheon, which is double last year's participation. Ladies were treated to a delicious lunch provided by Langtree Catering & Events and a presentation by Shawna Montague of SmaccDab Creative on creating summer mason jar luminaries that are beautiful and a natural bug repellant. Professional chef, Jenny Brulé, divulged her secret ingredient for a delicious homemade pimento cheese, and inspired with her advice about pursuing what you love to do.
- $10,827 raised through the online auction, with more than 150 items donated by PLP families and area businesses. This is a 56% increase!
Thank you to all participants, sponsors and volunteers for making these community events a huge success!
