No. Prospective families are welcome to attend the lottery, however your presence is not required.
When is the application deadline?
Applications must be received by midnight, Sunday, October 21, 2007 to be considered for the 2008-2009 Pine Lake Preparatory lottery.
We applied to PLP for the 2007 – 2008 academic year and did not receive admission through the lottery. Do we need to resubmit?
NO. If you completed an application for the 2007-2008 academic year, you do NOT need to submit another application. Those applications will automatically roll over into this year’s lottery.
We participated in the 2007–2008 lottery. Will we maintain the lottery number we received in the May 2007 lottery?
No. North Carolina Charter School law requires a lottery every school year for the upcoming academic year. Therefore, your waiting list status has no bearing on admission for the 2008 -2009 school year.
What grades will be offered at Pine Lake Preparatory next year?
The Pine Lake Preparatory Board of Directors will determine which grades will be offered at PLP based on applications received. Their plan is to offer Kindergarten through the Eleventh Grade because the permanent campus, which will open in the fall of 2008 school year, is designed to accommodate Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade.

Yes. All students are required by North Carolina Charter School law to complete an application for admission.
Do siblings of accepted students get preference?
Siblings are given preference based on space available in their respective grades.
