Where to Go?

How can students decide which type of post secondary option is best?It really comes down to match and fit. Students shouldn't necessarily focus on getting into a "good" college but the right college.Students can get a quality education most anywhere, but finding a school environment that best matches and fits them are the most important factors affecting whether they will actually graduate.

What is "match?"

Match includes factors such as grades, test scores and GPA and answers the question, "do you fit the academic profile of a typical incoming freshman at this college?" Students who match a particular college are likely to be admitted.

What is "fit?"

On the other hand, fit includes factors such as size, location, majors, weather, support services,cultural/social factors, and distance from home. Students who see themselves fitting in at a particular college are likely to be happier and more successful academically. Both match and fit should be considered when deciding which college to attend.

How else can a student decide which school is right for them?
