Lori Reuter Named Director of Strategic Initiatives

Lori Reuter

Pine Lake Preparatory is pleased to announce that Ms. Lori Reuter has been named Strategic Initiatives Director in addition to her role as Upper School Assistant Principal.  In this new role, Ms. Reuter will be the Director of Pine Lake Prep’s campus-wide STEM and Fine Arts Curriculum and Programming.

“Ms. Reuter successfully led a partnership between Pine Lake Prep and DiscoveryEd, which is a major initiative to transform how our Upper School teachers teach; shifting from pen to paper note-taking to students actively participating in their learning,” said Chris Terrill, Head of School. “We are excited for her to be a driving force in the continued growth and development of these programs.”

Ms. Reuter has been a passionate educator for more than 20 years.  She has a Masters degree in Environmental Education and School Administration. She has served the Pine Lake Prep community for the past nine years as both a science teacher and administrator.

Ms. Reuter has a demonstrated commitment to academic excellence, teaching Advanced Placement courses, serving as a cooperating teacher for the University of Connecticut and  mentoring and training fellow educators. In addition, she has been a professional dance instructor and has been heavily involved in the musical productions at Pine Lake Prep.

"She believes strongly in the connections between the arts and sciences and we are confident that under her direction these programs will continue to flourish and branch out into our greater community," Terrill said.
