General Rules and Packing List
Medications - All students who need medications administered throughout the Washington D.C. trip are asked to turn in their medications to Julie Howard in the Middle School by Friday, February 23rd at the latest.  It is important to have the medications turned in by Friday to give Mrs. Long the time to organize all of the medications over the weekend.  Please remember medications are required to be in the original container. Medication will not be accepted in Ziplock bags. If students have emergency medications, please assure they are listed on the medication form and contact Mrs. Long, School Nurse, to let her know if you will be sending in the medication, or if there is emergency medication that is kept in Mrs. Howard’s office that should be sent. Students who require emergency medication MUST have that medication with them to attend the trip. Please contact Rebecca Long with questions or concerns at 704-237-5333.

EOG/EOC Testing Information

In October, the North Carolina State Board of Education (SBE) adopted new college-and-career readiness Academic Achievement Standards and Academic Achievement Descriptors for the End-of-Grade (EOG) and End-of-Course(EOC) tests and their alternate assessments. The Achievement Level Standards and their Descriptors allow you to compare your child’s performance to grade-level/course level expectations.  Click here to read the informative letter.

7th Grade Immunizations

Please be reminded that there are two immunizations required by law for your child to attend school this academic year.

Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) one dose

MCV (meningococcal) one dose

These immunizations are required by NC law on or before the first day of school and proof of immunization must be provided. Immunization records can be faxed to Mrs. Long's attention at
704-237-5398 or can be turned into the Wellness Office beginning If you send a hard copy, please be sure to also keep a copy for your records. If you have not provided the school with proof of immunization by the first day of school, you will be given 30 days to provide this information. After, students without proof of immunization will not be able to attend school until they are immunized per NC law.
