Volunteer Opportunity

Construction Update

The construction of the PLP permanent campus is right on schedule!

As you drive by, you will see that the roof trusses have been installed. Soon, the rest of the roof and shingles will be installed. Interior work on electrical and plumbing have begun. Off campus work of tying PLP into Mooresville’s water and sewer has also begun.

Please drive by and see all the work. However, we ask that everyone remember that it is a construction site and that it is not ready for visitors at this time. Thank you!

Make-up Day

We will make up our missed day of school on Friday, April 25th. We will have a half day of school on that day. Dismissal will begin at 11:30 on April 25th.

School Pictures

School pictures have finally been rescheduled! We will be taking individual photos as well as class photos on the same day.

Mooresville students will have theirs made on March 11th, and Davidson students will be on March 12th.

If you paid for individual photos in the fall, you do not need to send additional money for the individual photos.

Class photo order forms will be sent separately. We will send a note to families who have previously purchased individual photos as a reminder of that purchase.

February Service Learning

This month, we are supporting our local Girl Scouts as well as our troops abroad by participating in the Operation Sweet Treat.

Students will be making cards to send to our troops. Also, we will be collecting money to purchase boxes of cookies to send with the cards. Each box of Girl Scout cookies costs $3.50, checks should be made payable to the Girl Scouts of America. THESE ARE DUE ON FEBRUARY 27.

Dances

We have scheduled the Mother/Son Dance on March 13th and the Father/Daughter dance on March 14th at the Pavilion at Birkdale.

Please remember to turn in your money for our school dances by next Wednesday, February 27th.Parent volunteers have been hard at work planning two fun-filled evenings for PLP families.

We have a terrific DJ from “Little Maestro” scheduled to perform, two dance instructors on hand to help teach everyone a few “new moves”, refreshments, and a professional photographer available.Dress is semi-formal.We hope to see you there for this special night out with your children!

Dental Health Month
